We will begin painting at 10:00 a.m. At approximately 1:00 p.m., we will take a lunch break. Painters should bring a lunch or plan to go uptown to eat, then return to finish their paintings.
Students will learn from Ivy Bailie and use a variety of techniques to create a colorful carpet of autumn leaves:
Leaf printing and drawing
Color exploration
Negative painting
Texture making
Adding details
Leaves
Loaded paint palette (students may take it home)
Brushes and board (Ivy will take these home)
Tape
Paper for either two small paintings or one larger painting
Paper towels
A water container, such as a large, empty yogurt container
A No. 2 pencil
A non-smudging eraser
